Tengo el libro, que lo leí 20 años después de haber visto la serie, y es, sin duda mi libro favorito. Trata de la llegada de un pirata inglés y toda su tripulación al Japón feudal del año 1600, dónde tendrá que adaptarse para poder sobrevivir en ese violento y exótico mundo. Está basado en personajes y hechos reales. Desde luego, a quién le guste los libros históricos y sobre todo de samurais, le va a encantar.

aunk no he leido el libro.he visto la serie de shogun al menos 4 veses y comento k la historia esta muy buena y emocionante.muy recomendable

Acerca del autor

James Clavell, the son of a Royal Navy family, was educated in Portsmouth before, as a young artillery officer, he was captured by the Japanese at the Fall of Singapore. It was on this experience that his bestselling novel KING RAT was based. He maintained this oriental interest in his other great works: TAI-PAN, SHOGUN, NOBLE HOUSE and GAI JIN.
