Damien sees Poppy across the room at the BDSM club. Although she is more conservatively dressed than the other submissive, he is intrigued none the less. Damien is dominant but Poppy is a switch. This is my first experience with a switch. She is willing to give and receive. The sparks fly between the two and they decide to “play”. Unfortunately in the middle of their encounter, Damien gets called away on a police matter. Poppy thinks he just played her. She was angry that he just left as he did not take care of her needs as outlined prior to their encounter. You can just feel the chemistry between Poppy and Damien. They were interesting, captivating and were connected. It was nice to see secondary characters and family intertwined in the story line. There was even a little bit of action (Damien was DEA agent) and suspense thrown woven throughout the storyline. Even though Damien was definitely the dominant one he was still able to sacrifice a little of his dominance to meet Poppy’s needs. This is the first time reading a book by this author. I look forward to see what she does next.

I haven't even finished this book n I'm already sick of it.the story is good.but reading the positions of there bodies during sex n play is confusing.I can't picture it..the positions make no sense

About the author

It can never be said that Sidney Bristol has had a “normal” life. She is a recovering roller derby queen, former missionary, and tattoo addict, and she grew up in a motor-home on the U.S. highways (with an occasional jaunt into Canada and Mexico), traveling the rodeo circuit with her parents. Sidney has lived abroad in both Russia and Thailand, working with children and teenagers. She now lives in Texas where she splits her time between a job she loves and writing, reading, and belly dancing.
