A best friends older brother romance read with a side of spice. Staff Sergeant Pierce Holden isn't expecting much when he visits home until he gets a first look at Ella Gibson all grown up. And when he finds out that her interest runs along with his, he gives into the unexpected growing attraction. What happens next is a sweet and steamy ride to a HEA. I love the characters and the quick but steamy storyline in this newest release that doesn’t disappoint.

'Temptation' is Sierra Cartwright's second book in her "Hawkeye: Denver" series. The story starts at a bar with Pierce seeing that his little sister’s best friend, Ella, is grownup is an exceedingly beautiful woman. He steps in and intervenes when he recognizes the jerk trying to entice Ella with drinks. Right away we find out that Pierce is ALL Alpha and he takes charge of the situation. Ella has always had a crush on her BFF’s older brother ever since he rescued the two of them from a party so is somewhat of history between them; however, Pierce abruptly left to join the Army, without so much as a goodbye, leaving Ella to move on. Pierce is an experienced Dominant in the BDSM lifestyle, and Ella is a submissive who has previously dabbled in a D/s relationship. The pair share an off-the-charts amazing night together, but Ella thinks that’s all it will be as Pierce will have to return to his duties in special ops for the Army. While the majority of the story is focused on Pierce and Ella’s budding relationship and whether they can overcome numerous obstacles standing in their way, neither one vocalizes these thoughts to the other. There is also an underlying story where there is some trouble and angst with Pierce’s father and his business to keep things interesting. A great storyline.

I love it when a couple just falls into the relationship! In this case, he is her best friend’s big brother and in town for the moment. The timing is just right and they have a ridiculously sexy night, and a wonderfully heated teasing session the next day. While everything was great right then, their regular lives don’t mesh. But he isn’t giving up even though she thinks it is hopeless. Of course, he gets his way in the end and she couldn’t be happier about it <3
