Simon Chapple is an author, speaker and coach. For over two decades he was the classic example of a heavy daily 'at home' drinker. Enduring daily hangovers, engaging in regretful behaviour, suffering from anxiety and lacking energy and motivation as a result of his inability to stop drinking. Despite this he built a successful business, ran marathons and tried his best to be a father and a husband. But something was lacking in his life. He knew that change needed to happen.
When Simon managed to quit alcohol, joy flowed back into his life for the first time since he was a child. His experience was so profound that it became his mission to raise awareness about the dangers of alcohol and to spread the word about the huge benefits that an alcohol-free life can bring. As he explored the roots of his addiction, Simon realised that his childhood trauma and emotional neglect had impacted him as an adult, and set about overcoming it. His experience of change was so powerful, he has chosen to share what he learned in his book How to Heal Your Inner Child.
As a Life Coach and Certified Sobriety Coach, and the founder of Be Sober - one of the largest quit drinking communities in the world - Simon has worked with thousands of people from all over the world, helping them make a lasting change to the way that alcohol features in their lives. He advocates quitting alcohol as a positive experience and an empowered life-choice, and rejects the outdated labels of 'recovery' and 'alcoholic' that keep many people stuck for the rest of their lives. Instead, he works with his clients to help them find true happiness in sobriety, and freedom from CEN and childhood trauma, by making choices that they feel passionate about.
