About this ebook

THE LIFE-CHANGING MILLION-COPY GLOBAL BESTSELLER - BASED ON ONE OF THE MOST WATCHED TED TALKS OF ALL TIME! DISCOVER YOUR PURPOSE WITH ONE SIMPLE QUESTION: WHY?

'One of the most incredible thinkers of our time; someone who has influenced the way I think and act every day' - Steven Bartlett, investor, BBC Dragon and host of The Diary of a CEO podcast

*****

Why are some people more inventive, pioneering and successful than others?
And why are they able to repeat their success again and again?

Because it doesn't matter what you do, it matters WHY you do it.

Those who have had the greatest influence in the world all think, act, and communicate in the same way - and it's the opposite to most. Drawing on the stories of leaders such as Steve Jobs, Ernest Shackleton and the Wright brothers, who each discovered their why to maximum effect, Simon Sinek uncovers the fundamental secret of their success. How you lead, inspire, live, it all starts with why.

WHAT READERS ARE SAYING:

'It's amazing how a book can change the course of your life, and this book did that.'

'Imagine the Ted Talk expanded to 2 hours long, with more depth, intrigue and examples.'

'What he does brilliantly is demonstrate his own why - to inspire others - throughout.'

"Why" is little more than snake oil without the bottle. This is not something new and inspirational. Nothing like it. Replace "why" with "product X" with all its wonderous properties and you have the essence of this book. Anecdotal but not evidence based. How would he know know that the Wright Bros had Product X over Langley. Can we see the transcripts of the interviews? Apple are successful because they used product X. Find someone or something successful and then work it backwards so Product X is the reason for the success. Oldest trick in the book

For a book about "starting" it dwelt a lot on the whole process. For a very small businesses or sole trader, it has useful but limited insight. I also feel that the Golden circle is possibly missing a WHO. I may be unfair, as one could say that Who is defined by Why or What I think this book is a must read for any leader (or aspiring leader)

And people who seem like they've lost a sense of purpose. However, if there is a book that needs to apply "less is more" it is this. The examples are pretty repetitive even when point had been made. Thankfully on the last few chapters the point is more concise.
