Book II unfolds as the fleshmongers deepen their infiltration into the Solar Unity, developing new technologies to possess the innocent and thwart UNUM’s heavy-handed, theocratic rule. The Undivine’s mission to rescue those persecuted under UNUM, is now eclipsed by the battle to save the people’s mortal souls from the depravity of the fleshmongers and the mysterious boss that leads them from the shadows.

What started in the immersive game world of Sword of Sanctity as a means to possess players has bled into the real world. Alyssalee, Sophie, Commander Cole, and the Undivine’s Chief Nerd, Bits, return to the game to save lives and get answers. But it’s not just the laity that’s in harm’s way. The boss wants the Undivine eradicated. And now, the dark being’s lust for absolute power leads him to set his sights on Alyssalee.

All that Alyssalee knew of what it is to live—to die, to love—is shattered. Confronted by unfathomable supernatural forces, impossible decisions must be made. But how far will Alyssalee go to protect the ones she loves?
