5 Star Review Decidedly By Chance (By the Bay #5) by Stina Lindenblatt   Decidedly by Chance is the first book that I’ve read by Stina Lindenblatt and although it is book five in the By the Bay series, it can definitely be read as a stand alone. Wes Chiasson and Hannah Morrell what a fantastic couple these two make. Add in Wes’s adorable niece, three year old Everly and you have a great story. For the last year or so Wes has been a workaholic concentrating on building his software company. All that changes when he suddenly finds himself the guardian of Everly after the death of her parents. Hannah, a paediatric nurse, was brought up in the foster system and has decided that the time is right to start her own family. Having met through friends, Wes has always been attracted to Hannah. When Hannah finds herself pregnant and in need of a place to stay, Wes steps up.   I really enjoyed this story about friendship, family, love and romance. The chemistry between Wes and Hannah is intense. There were times that my heart almost broke for Wes, Hannah and Everly. The little girl’s struggles were poignant and her innocent statements were heart breaking. Ms. Lindenblatt certainly covered the issues and emotions of a lost little girl confused by the death of her parents. As a woman whose parents died when I was a child, this story really got to me.   Decidedly By Chance is a well written emotional story that will tug on your heart strings and is one I thoroughly enjoyed.   .

4.5 Stars I loved this book so much!! I couldn't put this book down. This is the first book in the series that I've read and I can guarantee I'm going back to read the previous books. The characters are just awesome and they pulled me right into the book. Wes and his niece are so adorable together. Heart melting moments with those two. Though there is a sadness too with why Wes is his niece's guardian. Then through in Hannah who is making a life changing decision. Fate is working in Wes' favor when they become roommates. Hannah won't let her guard down because of her past she's protecting herself from any future hurt. She needs to wake up because she may just let the future she's always wanted slip through her fingers. I loved the group of friends in this one so much. It made me want to part of the group. You can tell how close they are by the rigging they give each other, but have each others backs no matter what. I would highly recommend this one. It packs the heart and feels. It's a make you feel good story that will leave your heart happy when you finish the book.

4.5 Heartwarming, Steamy Stars! I loved this friends to lovers romance. It was heartwarming, hilarious, sweet, and very sexy! Wes and Hannah have known each other for years, having mutual friends. They have been attracted to each other, but never thought it would go anywhere. Hannah grew up in the foster care system and has always craved love and a family. She is in a place in her life when she decides to have a baby and make a family of her own. Her meet cute with Wes, after not seeing him for months, is so awkward and hilarious. Wes had suffered a tragic loss and is the guardian of his adorable three-year-old niece, Everly. Wes and Hannah reconnect, and find they have so much more in common now. But Hannah is used to people walking away from her and won't allow herself to fall for this charming, kind and sexy man and his sweet niece. Wes always avoided relationships, but this silly, strong, and beautiful woman, sneaked into his heart and he was determined to convince her he would never leave. I had so much fun reading this charming, exhilarating and steamy story. There were so many hilarious situations, heartwarming moments, and steamy, sexy moments as well. This story had it all, interesting characters, witty banter, and steamy love scenes, all in a multilayered story. I love this series and can't wait for more from By the Bay!

Born in Brighton England, Stina Lindenblatt has lived in a number of countries, including England, the US, Finland, and Canada. This would explain her mixed up accent. She has a kinesiology degree and a MSc in sports biological sciences. In addition to writing fiction, she loves photography, especially the close-up variety, and currently lives in Calgary, Canada, with her husband and three kids.
