I received an advanced readers copy in exchange for an honest review. This is a stand alone in the Stiletto series and if you haven't read them all I suggest doing so. They are one of my favorite series! I loved this one because it brought back all the stiletto girls and had lots of them. Whenever they are around you know it's going to be entertaining. This story focused on Kyra, who was as sassy as I would expect coming from Nana Malone! She was in a new town on a new adventure after being burned by her ex (and his fiancé). She happened to meet Bryan and it was chemistry at first sight! I really enjoyed this book and ALL the characters in it. I do wish I would've felt a little more connection to Kyra. She was closed off to Bryan and I feel she was a little closed off to the reader as well, but I still truly enjoyed reading this book and would highly recommend it.

A standalone stiletto, that will make you want to go back to the first Stilettos to either re-read or get to know the girls, Jaya, Ricca, and Micha. I think Megan was a great addition to the group. Also, I LOVE the cover. This book was about Myra and Bryan's story. I loved the Star Trek references. Chalk one up for the nerds. Kyra, coming out of a bad relationship and a worse job situation, has stepped back from relationships. Solely focused on acing her job interview, she was totally unprepared for her attraction to Bryan. Bryan, dealing with a delicate situation at work, was totally unprepared for his attraction to Kyra. He was supposed to be focused on taking his company to the next level, and avoiding entanglements with an employee. They both tried to fight their attraction without imploding, or strangling each other while trying to work together. The great thing about the storyline was that although the constantly butted heads Bryan and Kyra genuinely liked and respected each other. Add a number of very sexy steamy scenes, and you won't want to put this book down. I received this book as an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

4 1/2 stars. Loved this book. This book is part of a series but can be read as a stand alone. This is the first book of the series that I have read so far, but I am going to go back and read the rest. I have read a few other books by Nana Malone and really enjoyed them as well. Loved Kyra and Bryan. They are both Trekkie Geeks (go Next Gen!!) I could so relate to these two. Bryan was a bit of a player but things changed when he meets Kyra. The only thing, they both agree that they should not mix business with pleasure. Sparks fly when these two get together, and not just with sexual tension. I'm surprised they didn't come to blows at times. It was comical to watch how they both fought their feelings. Both had been burned in the past and was scared to let themselves fall in love again. This is written as a multi pov and does have an HEA. Awesome story line, great characters that it was easy to become emotionally attached to, great descriptions to details and easy to follow dialogue that made me feel as if I was part of the conversations. Oh and the sexy bits, kinda spicy :) No heart twinge or teary eyed moments but I did have a few chuckles thanks to their antics and the antics of their friends. Can not wait to read Megan's story! All in all, a great read! Would I recommend this book? Yes Would I read more from this author? Yes Sassy Beta Reading & Review
