About this eBook

Enjoy the third book in the Laurel Springs Emergency Response Series. A small-town, sexy law-enforcement series from USA Today and Wallstreet Journal Bestselling Author, Laramie Briscoe.

Sullivan Baker

Moving to Laurel Springs and joining the LSERT was the best spur-of-the-moment decision I ever made. Here, out from under the expectations of my Police Chief father, IÕm thriving.Ê

IÕve found a boldness and confidence I never had in Paradise Lost.Ê

And a woman who I canÕt stop thinking about, dreaming about, and canÕt seem to stay away from. Attorney Shelby Bruce knocked me for a loop and my head hasnÕt stopped spinning since the night of our ÔfriendmasÕ Christmas party.

When thereÕs a physical threat to her well-being, I wonÕt stop at anything to protect her, even if it means losing a piece of myself in the process.

Shelby Bruce

Houston was my home until the big city reached out and bit me. Laurel Springs is more my speed, and IÕve settled into life here.Ê

A new friend group, building my practice from the ground up, and a smoking hot new love interest has my life extremely busy and full. IÕm content. More content than I ever was in my old life.

That all changes when I revise a will for one of the pillars of the Laurel Springs community. Effectively, she cuts her grandson out of her fortune. When he finds out itÕs not pretty.

Worse. He blames me.Ê

But something amazing happens. Day by day, I realize the relationships IÕve built within the community and the LSERT are stronger than I ever imagined. Especially when Sullivan Baker saves not only my life, but my heart.

Quite a story! Shelby and Sullivan made a steamy couple. I loved how they became honest with each other and explained their pasts once they realized they were meant for each other. With some danger due to their jobs, I kept turning pages to see how it all ended. I also enjoyed all the secondary characters and how they were accepting of the new people into their groups. I could picture the town in my mind as I read. I recommend this story, and I look forward to reading more. I received a copy of this story through The Hatters, and this is my unsolicited review.

Another Laurel Springs romance from Laramie Briscoe, this one focusing on a couple of Laurel Springs transplants. Sullivan and Shelby fit right in with the LSERT crew, and they certainly bring the heat - right from the beginning. This one is a friends to lovers romance, and it's relatively low on angst, especially in comparison to earlier books in the series. Oh, there is still some angst and even some danger, but we know where it's coming from. The tension here comes from wondering when the danger will play out. The steam these two generate is intense and scorching hot. I saw something from the author mentioning that Sullivan is 'the most alpha LSERT member so far,' and she wasn't exaggerating. Not even a little bit. He's all sexy alpha, and he and Shelby fit together perfectly. We also get a fair amount of Laramie Briscoe's with and humor, and like many of her books, I found myself chuckling and laughing a number of times while reading. I even rolled my eyes when a certain little ditty about a popular show was mentioned - quite possibly because the kiddos around here recited it so many times that I heard it in my sleep and finally banned it. Ha! So, steam, romance, a bit of danger, some much-needed humor - it all comes together for a great addition to the Laurel Springs Emergency Response Team series.

In Sullivan we get Rowan's brother's story who decided to follow her to Laurel Springs so he could be out of his father's shadow and make a life for himself and still be near Rowan. Shelby is from Houston and after a bad experience she decides that a fresh start is in order so she moves to Laurel Springs and opens up her own law practice. Sully and Shelby move in the same circle of friends so everyone sees what will happen before they do. Everything changes when there's a threat to Shelby's safety. I don't want to spoil this for anyone but you definitely need to read this book and go along on Sully and Shelby's journey as Ms. Briscoe wrote a beautiful honest real story that is what romance is about. I would definitely recommend reading this book as it's very well written. I look forward to reading the next book in this AMAZING Series. I was given an ARC in exchange for my honest opinion of this book.
