About the author

Susan Joy Paul has hiked, camped, and climbed around the United States and beyond, reaching the summits of more than 700 mountains. Her favorite routes include the Mountaineer's Route on Mount Whitney, the East Arête on Mount Russell, the Emmons Glacier on Mount Rainier, the Gooseneck Glacier on Gannett Peak, the Jamapa Glacier on Pico de Orizaba, the Ayoloco Glacier on Iztaccihuatl, and the Whymper Route to the Ventimilla summit on Chimborazo. Susan is the author of numerous guidebooks including Touring Colorado Hot Springs, Hiking Waterfalls in Colorado, and Climbing Colorado’s Mountains. She lives independently in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
