About the author
Susilowaty, M.A. is an English lecturer in the Faculty of Education, Sampoerna University and has been working in the Institution for 8 years. She received her master’s degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) from Southern Illinois University Carbondale (SIU), USA. She has passions in English language teaching, assessment, and literacy. In addition to teaching, she always has spare time to get involved in various community service projects. She has been initiating English classes for different groups, ranging from young learners to adolescents. Currently she is dedicating her time for UNIFIERS, an English class offered for Asosiasi Guru Belajar (AGB) teachers. She and her colleague, Anissa Pane, have been facilitating this class since September 2020. Through UNIFIERS, she learned the power of lifelong learning.
Lis Nurhayati, M.Pd. is usually called ‘Lis’. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Biology from IKIP Jakarta and her master’s degree in Mathematics and Science from UNINDRA. She’s been working as a Science teacher in a junior high school since 2003. She lives happily with her beloved husband and three children in Desa Setia Mekar Tambun, Bekasi. They often spend their time together doing fun activities. She always hopes for good future and God’s protection on their health and prosperity. For her students, she hopes they become good people for each other, have a long-life education, and keep thinking positively to spread kindness.
Fitri Merdianingsih, M.Pd. is usually called ‘Fitri’, She was born on May 10, 1989 in Pringesewu, Lampung. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Universitas Sajanawiyata Tamansiswa and a master’s L F 70 ~ The Authors degree in Mathematics and Science from Universitas Lampung. She’s been working as a Mathematics teacher in a senior high school since 2013. She’s grateful to live happily with her beloved husband and her daughter in Magelang. She believes that literacy is a key to improve our knowledge. Thus, she dedicates her time in literacy world and has successfully published a novel titled ‘Menggapai Asa yang Tertunda’. She hopes her writing inspires the readers.
Fitria Chairiyati, M.M. who is often called ‘Fie’, is the first child of H. Achyat Supriyadi and Hj. Siti Chairina. Coming from a humble family, she had a high motivation and her beloved mother’s prayer which led her to her master’s degree completion. Now, she is a dedicated teacher in one of the public schools in Bekasi. Motivation and prayers given by her beloved husband and daughters encourage her to be in her position now and to continue her writings. She believes that along with prayers, she should F The Authors ~ 71 keep being optimistic and grateful to focus on her goal despite challenges in this life.
Desi Nurfarida, S.Pd. was born on January 13, 1987 as the youngest child of R. Tati Suparti Ama. Pd. and Narmin Ade Rustandi. With their support, she completed her bachelor’s degree in Elementary School Education, Faculty of Education of Universitas Terbuka Jakarta. Now, she’s given a responsibility as a classroom teacher in a school in Cikarang. Her other role is a housewife, with a child and a husband who support her. Right now, she wants to keep learning things to make her parents proud and happy. She also wants to provide education and give a good example for her child to be a devoted and useful person for the nation.
Kanti Warih Ade Indriani, M.Pd. is a Mathematics teacher in one of the junior high schools in Taliwang. She’s also a tutor in Universitas Terbuka Mataram in the field of basic education. She completed her bachelor’s degree program and master’s degree program in Mathematics Education in 2006 and 2016 respectively. Apart from her teaching activities, she’s active in various organizations including Ikatan Guru Indonesia (IGI), scouts, PGRI, and Aisyiyah. Besides, she’s also the leader of junior high school Mathematics teacher community in West Sumbawa regency. Her principle in life is ‘keep learning and sharing with others’. She’s also an enthusiast in innovation and literacy world.
Nova Puspita, S.Pd. was born on December 17, 1985. She comes from South Aceh-Samadua and lives in the city of Subulussalam-Aceh. Besides being a housewife with a myriad of useful hobbies, she is also a Biology teacher who recently has started to like writing. Although she’s still K N The Authors ~ 73 in the early learning stage, she’s determined to produce more writings that many people could enjoy. For her, writing is to express the emotions of the soul. The mother of Fairuz, Fariz, Fatih, and Fathia has a desire to make her own book one day. May the dream to inspire people with her writing come true.
Anissa Pane, M.A. is a lecturer in Sampoerna University. She holds a bachelor’s degree in English Language Teaching from Sampoerna School of Education and a master’s degree in Education (Innovation in Learning and Teaching) from University of South Wales. She’s a cat lover who also loves singing, listening to music, watching movies, reading books, and writing poems. Apart from her writing in this book, she has published a book, poems, and articles, some of which are titled ‘Warita Surya’, ‘Terantuk Resam’, ‘Mengarah Rantau’, ‘Satu Dekade’, ‘Mimpi’, and A 74 ~ The Authors ‘Tetaplah Seperti Ini, Helen’. To share her knowledge and skills more, she joined UNIFIERS as a tutor, and she’s developing her start-up in online private English course named PenguinE.
