About this ebook

A ROGUE FOR EVERY LADY
London, 1817: Stuck in a Mayfair ballroom thanks to his lovestruck brother, highlander Arran MacLawry wants nothing but a bit of distraction from an arranged betrothal-and a clever auburn-haired lass in a vixen's mask promises just that...until he discovers that she's the granddaughter of the Campbell, chief of clan MacLawry's longtime rival. Despite their families' grudging truce, falling for fiery Mary Campbell is a notion too outlandish even for this Highlander...

THE THRILL OF THE FORBIDDEN
Raised on tales of savage MacLawrys, Mary is stunned to realize the impressively strapping man in the fox's mask is one of them. Surely the enemy shouldn't have such a broad chest, and such a seductive brogue? Not that her curiosity matters-any dalliance between them is strictly forbidden, and she's promised to another. But with the crackling spark between them ready to ignite, love is worth every risk...in Rogue with a Brogue by Suzanne Enoch

"One of my very favorite authors." -Julia Quinn

The hero and heroine barely knew each other when they ran off and I couldn't read anymore after that. Arran is another protagonist of this author who in the real world would be seen as an antagonist. First one was Josefina from 'Sins of a duke'. If we remove the thoughts from the book, his actions are that of a villain. He can be seen criticising and envying his brother and clan chief many times during the book. As he is the heir apparent and the chief has gotten engaged, it looks like he wants the power for himself. He is butt hurt over England's war with Scotland which happened years ago but falls in love with the present rival clan's daughter. Talk about hypocrisy! His actions endanger the truce between the clans which put his brother and clan at risk. He feels like he is doing this intentionally in order to gain the power in his clan and removing his brother from equation. And he is supposed to be clever. Ha! He feels like a cry baby at best and a master villain strategist at worst

Rogue with a Brogue is book two in The Scandalous Highlanders series by Suzanne Enoch. Wow! This series just gets better and better. I really enjoyed this book. There were a few moments when the pace slowed a bit, but overall, I couldn’t put it down. I loved Arran MacLawry. He is the wonderful swoon-worthy Highland hero that we romance junkies crave. “A predator waiting for his prey. Black hair lifted off his temple in the light breeze. With the fox ask on, his parts - jaw, mouth, shadowed blue eyes - had hinted at a handsome face. Without the mask, adding in high cheekbones, a straight nose, and slightly arched eyebrows, he was a dream - a dark Highlands prince who likely ate wildcats for breakfast.” This is a bit of a Romeo and Juliet story without the tragedy of course. Mary Campbell is a great heroine. She has intelligence and beauty. I checked this book out from the library. I can’t wait to read more.

I love that they fought to be together and brought an end to an old clan feud
