About this eBook

~A breathtaking launch of this adventure fantasy series~

Ciardis Weathervane, a girl with no future, and Sebastian Algardis, the one who will change it all, have found a challenge in this phenomenally unique and captivating tale.

They were never meant to break the chains binding his powers, but when they upended the imperial courts they found their powers were greater than any foretold.

Together they'll shatter that empire. And perhaps help it rise again.

"One world you don't want to miss out on!"

- City Of Books ★★★★★

Ciardis Weathervane has one simple rule – win the first fight, then move on to the next. But she’s finding out that the citizens of Sandrin have other plans in mind.

When she returns to the imperial capital city, she finds that nothing is as she left it. Only a week has passed and yet chaos reins. Vana Cloudbreaker has been attacked and surprisingly, she did not come out on top.

The woman Ciardis thought was invincible stands a broken shell of what she once was and Ciardis isn’t entirely sure what or who was the cause of the fabled assassin’s derailment.

To top it off, the revolutionary party is determined to make itself known, starting with a call for an impostor emperor to vacate his throne. They couldn’t have chosen a worse time to start their revolution. Right when the noble societies at court are ready to throw their support to the prince heir and princess heir-in-waiting against the blutgott itself.

Now revolutionaries and courtiers are at odds, but even stranger—the duchess of Carne stands among the revolutionary guard. Ciardis is faced with the predicament of saving an empire and sacrificing a revolution, all while facing down a clock that has run out of the time.

The gods are here and there’s nothing that she nor anyone else can do to stop them.

Another exciting continuation of Ciardis's story - Sovereignty really moves several crucial plot lines forward, picks up some key old threads, and introduces new elements that will either thrill or horrifying you, depending on where your sympathies lie. The book ends satisfyingly, but sets up the next book in such a way that will leave you eagerly anticipating the next installment. Ciardis's character development is great to see - she is the same impulsive, feisty girl you love, but she is maturing into a feisty woman <3 You'll learn more about the emperor, the dragons, the Shadow Council, and the rebellion. There are some interesting developments in the romance department, though anyone hoping for the story to take a leap into the NA or explicit Romance genre will be left frustrated (I'm still holding out hope for some steamy Thanar scenes someday!) I found the description of a certain magical event to be confusingly written at first, and there were some proofreading errors (though not to a level that detracts from enjoying the story) that prompted me to give 4 stars instead of 5, but I highly recommend this book. Current fans will love it, though I would suggest new readers to start from the beginning of the series, because this book picks up right where the previous kne left off, not wasting time rehashing past episodes. ***I received a free advance copy of this book in exchange for an honest review***

Sit down, buckle up, grab some popcorn & get read for an amazing story. Courtlight #8 picks up right after where Vengeance ended. You are two sentences in the first paragraph of the book and BAM! The action begins & you are taken on the best ride of your life. There are so many new twists & turns that keep the book very interesting but never confusing. I will not share any spoilers. All I will say is if you're an Argardis fan you won't be disappointed

I received this book from Terah Edun for an honest review. Plus I preordered it from Barnes and Noble. Terah Edun is one of my favorite authors and she never disappoints me with her work. You will not want to put the book down at all. So make sure you have time to read it all in one setting. Terah doesn't fail to amazed me with her latest installment of the Courtlight series. Many things happen in this book that bring certain plots to light. There are some unique twists that happen you won't see coming.
