I'd never read anything by this writer before but was looking for something different than what as become normal in the romance genre and I found it! A love story, nothing weird, no shape shifters, no mysticism, just A good plot and story about two people falling in love. A great twist for the beginning...The man was dead and a bigamist with three wives! I'm glad Marian didn't kill Jean and found Louis. Already bought the other two books in the series with the other two wives' stories! Can't wait to find out who killed him and how the second wife finds love after Jean since she's pregnant and couldn't wait to tell him. What a way to find out about your husband's other wives and that he's dead! A great story can be interesting without being weird!

An excellent Historical Romance, sexual content contrary to other reviews was very tame. Certainly not in the league of J R WARD were descriptive is graphic. Well done to Author for a great read 😁

A beautiful family love story. It reminded me of my wonderful husband who married me and my 2 children and brought them up as his own. We are still together.
