About the author

Dr. Simon Monk has a degree in Cybernetics and Computer Science and a Ph.D. in Software Engineering. He is the bestselling TAB author of Programming Arduino, Programming the Raspberry Pi, Hacking Electronics, and many other books.

Matthew Monk is an experienced Minecraft player with a strong interest in the technical aspects of the game. He is an active contributor to the Minecraft mod and video community and he hosts Minecraft servers.

Donald Norris is an avid electronics hobbyist, maker, and quadcopter enthusiast. He is also an electronics engineer with an advanced degree in Production Management. Don is retired from civilian government service with the U.S. Navy, where he specialized in acoustics and digital signal processing. He also has more than a dozen years’ experience as a professional software developer using C, C#, C++, Python, and Java, as well as five years’ experience as a certified IT security consultant.

Bryan Bergeron is the author of two dozen books and 500+ magazine articles, and is Editor-in-Chief of SERVO and Nuts & Volts magazines. He holds several patents in the areas of human simulation and embedded systems. Bryan has designed and built human simulators for academia, the military, and commercial markets. He is the author of Teardowns: Learn How Electronics Work by Taking Them Apart.

Thomas B. Talbot, Chief Scientist of the U.S. ARMY TATRC Armed Forces Simulation Institute for Medicine, founded the medical simulation research and development program at the U.S. Department of Defense. He is the creator of several android systems used for training medics and healthcare professionals. The author of numerous articles and book chapters, Dr. Talbot is currently creating artificial intelligence-driven virtual humans and virtual reality psychotherapy and physical rehabilitation.
