Deep in the jungle, Sarah lay beaten and bleeding, on the soft ground just outside one of the tents. She could feel the cold, damp ground through her clothes, and her wounds still ached. James was born England in May 1975, The oldest child of Moira & Gary Punt, he spent his younger years in the town of Thunderley in Essex and finished school in 1991. He wanted to study Zoology and work with animals, but later that year dropped out of college because of grades.Over the next few years he found himself doing a string of different types of jobs including Security and Printing. Till 1996 when he found a full time security role and then spent nineteen and a half years in the industry. He establishes a reputation that moved him up into management then on to close protection.

James is a great adventurer and loves the outdoor life and sports, In 2012 he took on the UK national three peaks challenge, climbing the three highest mountains in under 24 hours and took part in a Duathlon race.

In early 2014 after finishing his life in security and changing career, he decided to finish writing his first book, that he started in 2005. James finished writing in late October 2014 after his father passed away early that month. James then decided to dedicate his first novel blood runs deep operation amazon to his Dad.
