About the author

R. Rogers is the senior US economist at the California financial firm Econoday. He writes the weekly article "Simply Economics," which provides market analysis for Econoday's clients. Rogers previously worked at the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta for 19 years. He teaches economics and business forecasting at Clayton State University and Emory University.
