Acerca de este libro electrónico

The author wrote this book to give us some sort of an insight into the mindset that war tends to put you into. Its an interesting place, and I really wanted yall to get an understanding, or at least familiarization with it He succeeds admirably! All the footage weve seen, the movies, the shows, none of them prepare us for the reality of day-to-day life of an infantryman fighting for us in Afghanistan. He went as an idealist, fighting for his country and his dream of freedom. He begged to stay at the end of his deployment. And though he came home with no physical scars, he is forever changed, his health compromised, but his dream intact. His story is compelling, and leaves one grateful beyond measure for the sacrifices made for us on a daily basis by all of the people in our armed forces.

Acerca del autor

Elisha Burge grew up in a blended family of 6 children, passionately excited about someday being a soldier... and not just any soldier, an infantryman in the Army. Two of his older siblings joined the Army before he was old enough to do so, increasing his fervor. His focus for most of his formative years was a desire to enlist, and serve. He was home schooled and spent much of his free time serving others—he was active in several youth groups, interned with a creative arts ministry, worked several jobs, and reveled in war games with cousins and brothers, “live,” on computer, and through movies. He has lived his dream, experienced some harsh realities as facts replaced others’ often sanitized and glorified stories. Elisha writes with passion and ideals still fresh, still fervent, still centered in patriotism and the never-ending fight for freedom.
