Another billionaire story. this one has the girl the daughter of a Mafia monster who definitely does NOT want to join the family business now that her grace period away from family with real world experience is expiring. When faced with marriage to a balding, out of shape contact her heir apparent brother needs for his scheme to murder his father and take control of the syndicate, she panics and announces she has accepted a quickly made-up proposal to the city's wealthiest bachelor she just met in less than flattering circumstances. He, natch, has absolutely no idea. Could be a diverting rom com except for the constant threat from the nasty crime lords. So it winds up being a heavy handed series of comedic episodes with a constantly mentioned oppressive overlay. The HEA arrives for all the sympathetic characters by the end. I never felt the sense of dread I should have but then there was no elation either. Read it if it's your subgenre. It wasn't mine.

I enjoyed this book a great deal. It grabbed me from page one right through to the end. Characters are believable and the story flows well. I am off to get book two!!

this is one of my favorite books so far I haven't read the rest but I'm hoping to. I loved it so much. It was a stop look at the wall scream the continue reading. 10/10 recommend
