About this ebook

He’s the father of my child and my best friend.

When Peyton and I met, somehow things just clicked between us. We had the same sense of humor and the same carefree attitude about our lives and goals. Neither of us wanted to lay down roots, we wanted to explore the world.

Then one night, too much alcohol and uncontrolled hormones led to the line blurring, and we fell into bed together only to discover a month later that we were more careless than we thought.

Like the upstanding guy he is, Peyton followed me back to my hometown of Lake Starlight, Alaska, where you can’t throw a penny and not hit one of my family members. We gave them the news that yes, we were having a baby but there would be no wedding. We loved each other but we weren’t in love.

Fast forward three years and we live side by side to make co-parenting our daughter easy. I’m a writer, and he’s a ski instructor. We’ve worked out all the rough edges. Life is good.

Until out of nowhere, things start to change. He has a girlfriend, we’re arguing more than ever, and it feels as if someone has come along and popped our perfect bubble. I’m not sure we’re ever going to fit back inside it now because things are developing. Things like feelings.

I love my visits to Lake Starlight, Alaska and this time it’s Palmer Ferguson and Hudson Fisher’s friends to lovers romance. This is one of those reads that you know is very special from the moment you pick it up, it will have you laughing and it will pull in your heart strings. If you love small town romances look no further than The Drawback Of Single Dads ( Lake Starlight #4). Hudson and Palmer have always had a very special friendship and that allowed them to co-parent their daughter

I swear Piper Rayne sprinkle something magical in pages of Lake Starlight books. One page and I am gone. I don't know what this can be except some magic. This Alaska town and the Baileys have my heart under a forever spell. Palmer and Hudson's story was equally angsty, swoony and slow burn beauty. She deserved someone devoted and charming and caring like Hudson. Someone who chases away her demons, who shows up every time, who takes care of her at every step and yet..let her fly high.( ARC review

I loved watching Palmer and Hudson's relationship, they were best friends who also shared a beautiful and smart little girl. Palmer and Hudson had set up the perfect life for them all, live next door, share responsibilities of their daughter and support each other. But the feelings that were put on the back burner long ago start to come to the surface, once this happens both Palmer and Hudson decide to give into them and enjoy each other. This beautiful family had earned their happily ever after
