Shade Doe believes her prayers are answered when she meets an older Christian man who offers her marriage and a name for her newborn child. Born and raised in southeast Michigan, Deborah retired from a long career in advertising before penning her debut novel, “The Essence of Shade,” published in 2019. When she is not writing, she can be found in the kitchen experimenting with new recipes.
