A native of Rhode Island, following graduation from The University of New Hampshire and a short career in the theatre, Gregory Funaro received his AM in Theatre Arts from Brown University and his MFA in Acting from the FSU/Asolo Conservatory in Sarasota, Florida. He is currently an associate professor in the School of Theatre & Dance at East Carolina University, where he teaches, acts, and directs. He is an avid reader, an amateur artist and history buff, and holds a black belt in karate. Gregory lives with his family outside of Raleigh, North Carolina.
