For decades, Martti Koskenniemi has not just been an influential writer in international law; his work has caused a significant shift in the direction of the field. Marieke de Hoon is Assistant Professor of International Law at the Transnational Legal Studies department at Vrije Universiteit, Amsterdam.

Alexis Galán is a post-doctoral researcher at the Angelo Sraffa Department of Legal Studies at Università Commerciale Luigi Bocconi, Milan.
