About this ebook

This first book in the series provides a glimpse into life's choices and challenges as Apostle Sharon Loving Ruff receives a Rhema word from God that He had hidden within her a "seed" that had been passed down from generations upon generations which was now being brought forth for His divine purposes. God then sends her to the Republic of Liberia and the Federal Republic of Nigeria in West Africa on a one-way airline ticket after audibly pronouncing the reason why she is alive, "I saved your seed from slavery and raised you up. I am sending you to be a blessing to your people."

This book explodes into a treasure chest of discoveries, astounding revelations and awesome adventures as Apostle Sharon arrives in Liberia on the date chosen by God and learns that only hours earlier, Charles Taylor led rebel forces to invade the country and Liberia is officially in a state of war. In spite of the dangers surrounding her during the first two months of Liberia's fourteen year civil war, this book continues to chronicle her bold walk of faith as she connects to the plight of the Liberian people and to her ancestral roots in the Kpelle' tribe. Intense spiritual warfare, amazing natural and supernatural encounters and the receipt of profound prophetic words from the Almighty God are among many awesome experiences captured in this book.

No matter the gender, age or religious affiliation, reading this book provides the reader with truths and helps direct them to answers for many of life's perplexing questions, including, "Who and I?" and "Why am I here?"

About the author

Apostle Sharon Loving Ruff is a native of Washington, D.C. who attended DC public schools and received her Bachelor of Science degree from American University in 1976. She is the wife of Senior Pastor John D. Ruff, Grace Tabernacle...A Way of Holiness ministries in Washington, DC and Oxon Hill, MD with two children and two grandchildren.

In 1985, Sharon Loving served as a Senior Legislative Analyst GS-13 for the Federal government's Health, Education and Welfare Dept. In her professional pursuits, she was only one GS grade away from the highest position unless appointed by the President of the United States when she was awakened to the call on her life by the Almighty God. This call and timing was truly a strange one. She heard His audible voice and the words He spoke completely altered the course of her life, including cancelling her plan to commit suicide later that day. Three months later, she was operating in many of the gifts of the Spirit and experiencing awesome divine visitations and supernatural encounters. She was so intrigued with her new life that she left her job to follow the Holy Spirit's leading full time.

She became an ordained minister who was sent by God around the world through an apostolic calling as a missionary, prophet, evangelist and teacher. She is a woman who wears many hats. Since 1990, she has funded orphanages, child welfare homes and educational enrichment programs for the poorest or the poor in Liberia, West Africa. Along with her husband, they established the Grace Tabernacle...A Way of Holiness ministries. She later became founder of the Liberian Orphanage/Humanitarian Projects, Inc. a 501(c)(3) private non-profit charity organization to further help alleviate suffering among the porrt, which has extended to providing humanitarian aide through her Operation Blessing Projects and special initiatives for the Blind in Liberia. Since 2006, she is called Mother Sharon in her role as the Directress, Salvation in Christ Orphanage and Humanitarian Refuge Home in Paynesville county, Monrovia, Liberia.

Her latest hat is that of an author and the founder/president of The Making of an Apostle, a Christian Work LLC in support of the four book series.
