About the author

MARGUERITE KELLY is a syndicated columnist, author, mother, and grandmother. Her advice column, "The Family Almanac," appears in the Washington Post and other papers around the country. She is also the author of The Mother's Almanac Goes to School, the bestselling guide for parents of children aged six to twelve, and Marguerite Kelly's Family Almanac, and has written for Woman's Day, Parents Magazine, the New York Times Magazine, and Harper's Bazaar. An active volunteer, she was a trustee of the Washington, D.C., Public Library for many years.

ELIA PARSONS, co-author of the original Mother's Almanac, was a co-founder of the first Montessori Preschool in Washington, D.C. Both authors live in the nation's capital.
