About this eBook

“This book blew me away, completely. Gripping from page one, I—quite literally—couldn’t put it down.”—Christina Lauren, New York Times bestselling author of The Unhoneymooners

Growing up, Mallory Dodge learned that the best way to survive was to say nothing. And even though it’s been four years since her nightmare ended, she’s beginning to worry that the fear that holds her back will last a lifetime. Now, after years of homeschooling, Mallory must face a new milestone—spending her senior year at a public high school. But she never imagined she’d run into Rider Stark, the friend and protector she hasn’t seen since childhood, on her very first day.

It doesn’t take long for Mallory to realize that the connection she shared with Rider never really faded. Yet soon it becomes apparent that she’s not the only one grappling with lingering scars from the past. And as she watches Rider’s life spiral out of control, Mallory must make a choice between staying silent and speaking out—for the people she loves, the life she wants and the truths that need to be heard.

Handles the subject matter of child abuse fine. Just did not like this bk as well as some of her other books. Not sure why. I think the heroine wasn't described very clearly and I was confused by how she looked so maybe I just couldn't capture her in the story. It had a couple of moments. But otherwise was just ok. Maybe if it was less expensive. Maybe it's me...

There HAS to be a book dedicated to Ainsley and Hector, the problems they're facing are so intense and it would be great to see how they fall back together.

This has got to be one of the best books I have ever read..... and I read A LOT of books. I actually read this book last year...but I was scrolling thru my library of books... I have some that I haven't read yet...but I saw this book again and remembered how it's one of those rare books that is absolutely beautiful and yet heartbreaking at the same time. And it is sooo not your average same ole same ole book... it's beautifully written and I fell in love with the characters.... especially Rider Stark.... ( I must admit , I think he's super hot, at least that's how I picture him) But anyway, instead of picking a new book, I decided to refresh my memory of this one. Bc it's an absolute excellent read. In fact, I now have 3 books from this author and not one of them disappointed... but this one is the best. So I am reading it again..
