I was sorry to see the ending of this series. Great writing. It was a great story line punctuated by an incredible number of plot twists. Just when you thought everything was going to work out seamlessly for Captain Harden, an earlier event or character comes back to haunt him. Fully entertaining and page turning writing. Great stuff and very hard to put down. I gave it 4 starts for it entertainment value. I did note rate it higher because I reserve 5 stars for books that I consider truly Epic. This is a solid, entertaining action read.

Great book series but some things have been bugging me loose ends like president Briggs still alive like they said they know he is coming for them eventually so I would like to see a book cover that situation also the hunters who steady evolving that another threat that has not been fully taken care of also these book are way too short but overall I love the books series

Seriously! These books pulled me in and have taken me on one of the most insane rides I have ever been on. It's crazy to read through and see just how much Captain Harden has changed from the the man who started in his bunker. Truly brilliant and a testament of true heroes and the fight for control of our own freedoms. I love this series!

About the author

D.J. Molles has two published short stories, "Darkness" and "Survive," which won a short fiction contest through Writer's Digest. The Remaining series (The Remaining, The Remaining: Aftermath, The Remaining: Refugees and The Remaining: Fractured) are his first novels and have been met with overwhelming success. He lives in the southeast with his wife and two children.
