About this eBook

A sexy, single dad standalone romance from New York Times bestselling author Kendall Ryan.

Life threw me a curveball. An adorable eight-pound, four-ounce curveball with her mother’s eyes and my dark hair. I’d like to think my single-dad game is strong, but honestly? I’ve been struggling a little.

When a beautiful young woman moves in next door and offers to give me a hand, I jump at the chance to hire her as a nanny. Jessa is amazing with my daughter. She’s also patient, kind, and way too pretty.

The number one rule of hiring a nanny? Don’t bed the nanny.

It’s a rule I intend to keep.

But as the days pass, I begin to realize how much my life is missing. Companionship. Romance. Intimacy. When I discover my heart has space for one more female, it’s a lost cause, another curveball. The hot-as-hell nanny is leaving soon for a mission trip to Central America. No sense in letting myself fantasize about Jessa being a permanent part of my life.

The closer we get, the more difficult it becomes to keep my feelings in check, because my heart won’t listen. And neither will my libido.

Well, you know what they say. Rules are meant to be broken . . .

4.5 star review The Stud Next Door (Frisky Business #3) by Kendall Ryan For the last few years I have been devouring single parent stories. I really enjoyed The Stud Next Door as I love Kendall Ryan’s writing style. This is the third book in the Frisky Business Series and is Connor and Jessa’s story and was an entertaining read. When Jessa moves in next door to single dad Connor, she offers her services as a nanny to help with his daughter as she sees he is struggling. Who knew that by hiring Jessa, Connor would find what he didn’t know he was looking for. I fell hard and fast for Connor, he was swoon worthy and his relationship with his two month old baby daughter, Marley just about melted my heart. The chemistry between Connor and Jessa is too hard to ignore, the banter between them witty and it was fun to watch as their relationship developed. This was a heart warming, swoon worthy, entertaining and romantic read that I enjoyed.

I love all the Frisky Business men and their significant others, what a fab bunch they all are, and seeing sexy manwhore Connor transform practically overnight into the perfectly doting dad has been an experience I wouldn't have wanted to miss. I had to see it to believe it, he’s like a completely different person, in the best possible way, and when Jessa rents out a room in the house next door, they both find the perfect solution to their very real problems. Connor needs a nanny for his adorable baby girl Marley, and Jessa needs to earn some money before her big trip to Central America. What neither of them take into consideration is the attraction and chemistry between them. A sweet, oh so funny romance with truly wonderful characters. A book to snuggle up in bed with. Angst free, pure romance (with a side of passion). Truly enjoyable. This is book 3 in a group of interconnected standalones. I received an advanced copy of this book. This is my honest review.

***ARC Provided by the Author*** This was my first read of 2021 and I am glad my year started here. Hopefully, this year will be full of books I enjoy as much as I enjoyed this one. I really enjoyed Connor and Jessa. I liked their instant connection and attraction, I liked that it felt real, and I liked that it felt like there was more to their relationship than the hot single dad who has a thing for the hot nanny. I also liked how all in both of them were. That they formed the bond as friends, and over his daughter, and they then allowed that bond to become between them as a lot more than friends. Sometimes it's nice to read a book about 2 people who know what they want and go for it...not saying that books about couples with angst or drama aren't also appealing, just that it's sometimes nice when the story evolves as this one did. I also liked the resolution of her trip and plans to be out of the country. I thought the book was going to go a different direction with it, and I think it could have worked, but I liked this direction a lot more. I enjoyed and recommend this title.
