About this ebook

A fun, flirty teen debut from Wattpad phenom Alex Light about a fake relationship and real love. Perfect for Jenny Han fans.

It’s been years since seventeen-year-old Becca Hart believed in true love. But when her former best friend teases her for not having had a boyfriend, Becca impulsively pretends she’s been secretly seeing someone.

Brett Wells has it all. As captain of the football team and one of the most popular guys in his school, he should have no problem finding someone to date, but he’s always been more focused on his future than who to bring to prom.

When he overhears Becca’s lie, Brett decides to step in and be the mystery guy. It’s the perfect solution: he gets people off his back for not having a meaningful relationship and she can keep up the ruse that she’s got a boyfriend.

Acting like the perfect couple isn’t easy, though, especially when you barely know the other person. But with Becca still picking up the pieces from when her world was blown apart years ago and Brett just barely holding his together now, they begin to realize they have more in common than they ever could have imagined.

When the line between what is pretend and what is real begins to blur, they're forced to answer the question: Is this fake romance the realest thing in either of their lives?

This story is a sweet, teen romance and was very quick and easy to read. Seventeen year old Becca Hart has stopped believing in love ever since her parent's divorce five years ago when her father just upped and left. Now, Becca spends most of her time lost in the romance books that she loves to escape into. When Becca ex-best friend, Jenny teases her about not having a boyfriend, Becca lies and says she is dating someone. No one is more surprised than Becca when Brett Wells, the perfect, gorgeous captain of the football team comes up pretending to be her boyfriend. This starts their fake relationship. Brett spends most of him time preparing for his future and doesn't have time for a girlfriend and thinks having this fake relationship will get everyone off of his back about not having a girlfriend. Of course the more time Becca and Brett spend together getting to know each other and pretend, they start to find out that they are really drawn to each other. As Becca and Brett continue through their lives, they both start to realize that everything they always thought they had known is not actually the rosy truth and they may just need each other to help navigate through the storm. After all of the turmoil, Becca and Brett realize that their lives are much better with the other in it and they get a perfect fairy tale ending. I enjoyed this sweet romance. It takes you back to your teenage years and all the drama that happened back then. I really liked both Becca and Brett. They had some fun dialog together but I really liked how they could talk about anything because to them in the beginning it was all fake so they didn't have the awkward phase of getting to know each other. If more teenagers could do that it would save a lot of heartache in the long run. If you are looking for a fun, sweet, teenage romance, give this one a try.

This book was a very light read and really kept me busy. I love the characters even though it was typically cliche i still loved it a lot. Fake dating to falling in love is my favorite thing in the world. I wish there was a bit more of a bang to the story because even though i liked it a lot i didn't find it hard to stop reading whenever I felt like it and i love when a book takes me into the storyline so much i feel like I'm in their world which i didn't feel with this book. But if you're wondering if you should read it or not then YES absolutely YES

this book is a very good book, though a lot has changed from the original wattpad one. this one is more cliche than the original wattpad book where jenny and becca were originally enemies, and came to good terms with each other in the end and not a friendship. a lot more events are different but both books are good in their own way. this book was great and i highly recommend it. i recommend reading the wattpad book too, before or after reading this one.
