Mystery in History

A Childhood Friend. An Overbearing Father. A Worldly Bishop.

Argolicus unravels the threads.

Argolicus' pious uncle visits to sketch flowers for a book. While out in the meadow flowers, he discovers the body of a brutally murdered man.

Argolicus realizes the man is his old childhood friend. Confronted by his friend’s wealthy father when he delivers the news, Argolicus finds himself trapped in old memories and new antagonists who are out to stop him at any cost.

Barred from the family, Argolicus gives one last pledge to his friend’s sister. Tempers erupt and everything seems hopeless until the vellum scribe tells him a secret.
