For twenty years, Terry Bisson published a regular “This Month in History” column in the science fiction magazine Locus. Terry Bisson (1942-2024) was an award-winning science fiction writer and the author of numerous novels and story collections, including Fire on the Mountain, Bears Discover Fire, and In the Upper Room.
