Drug or some other poisoning is the most common cause of unconsciousness in a previously healthy (especially young) person, if asymmetry is not observed on neurological examination. The treatment is classified in the following manner: Immediate action (Figure) Prevention of absorption of orally taken drugs Other specific therapy (antidotes and dialysis) Follow-up treatment (finding out the cause of poisoning, psychiatric treatment).
