About this eBook

Tucker is always ready to fight for the underdog. So when he’s offered a mission to save the life of a dog unfairly judged and slated for termination, he can’t let her go down without a fight. Plus the dog is in Miami, where his sister lives, and … no way he can refuse to attend her upcoming wedding.

Addie knows her sister lied about being attacked by the dog, but Addie isn’t sure to what extent or how far her sister will go for revenge against an animal she hates. Yet Addie is determined to help the dog who she loves, even if no one else does. Finding a hero to champion her cause isn’t part of her plan, but she is quick to realize Tucker’s value when she meets him.

Now if only he didn’t have a nightmare scenario of his own … one that threatens to take them all down, including the dog.

The k9 series is very dear to my heart and I'm really glad that the dog's as well as their rescuers find a second chance and love. This one is no different. The is drama and suspense all in a short space of time. Bernie, the dog, was saved from death, by Tucker and Addie who are thrown into a situation which I would have liked to know the why for. An afternoon's read well worth it.

TW//CW animal abuse, arson, death, murder I really adore this series. A series about saving war dogs, what's not to love right? This latest book is definitely one of my fav from this series. A rescue mission for a war dog that's going to be put down. Rescuing a wrongly accused innocent animal, yes I knew it's going to be a wonderful read and as an animal lover especially dogs, the story really captivating from the beginning, the effort to save Bernie the wonderful war dog and to bring justice to people who abused her is good and add those sweet adorable romance between Tucker and Addie, well it's kinda insta-love but it tooks some times so it's not insta-love per se if that makes sense but still it's cute and sweet. There's also a tiny bit family story that also heartwarming. So yeah it's a light romantic suspense story. Although there were still unanswered questions for the side case and some parts that I think a bit unbelievable, overall it's still an enjoyable and entertaining.

This is the thirteenth book in The K9 Files series. The series is about making sure that retired military K9s are being taken care of and treated well. In this case the dog is scheduled to be euthanized. Tucker needs to rush to Florida and prevent the dog from being killed. This dog was trained to identify accelerants to help solve arsons. There were 2 plots that were intertwined. One was about the false claim that the dog had bit it’s owner and needed to be put down and the other plot line revolved around catching an arsonist. The only negative about the book is that there wasn’t enough action by the dog. I love the books where the dogs are the center of attention. This book made up for this with the original plot, so I would still recommend this book. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
