This book is written especially for UGC NET Women Studies preparation and it is a compilation of author’s self made notes prepared while preparing for this exam. This book contains 18 chapters. First 16 chapters covers topics like Women studies and its evolution, Feminism and its various types, Indian constitution and Women, Organizations for or by women, Concepts and theories, International conferences and conventions, Pioneer Women in various fields, Schemes and policies for Women etc. This Book contains all the major topics required to be studied by the students and 12 sets of UGC NET Women studies question papers (paper II and paper III) from June 2015 to Nov 2017 with UGC answer keys in last two chapters. In addition it also contains some quotations of famous Women’s rights activists and the list of books of some of the famous authors. Born and brought up in Delhi but belonging to clan with Conservative beliefs, she is very vocal about women rights. She is currently pursuing Ph.D. Economics on the topic “Women Empowerment through Government Schemes” from Aligarh Muslim University. She has done Graduation with Economics Honors from Delhi University and MA in Economics from MD University, Rohtak. After completing Masters, she cleared UGC NET JRF from Economics. Pursuing PhD, she cleared UGC NET from Women Studies. She interned with Ministry of Women and Child Development and with an Ngo ‘Coequal’. She has presented many research papers on women related issues in National Seminars and International Conferences. She has also attended various workshops on Research methodology, Data Analysis and Gender Sensitization course conducted by UGC. She is passionate about working on women’s rights and about propagating understanding and need of women empowerment among people specifically among youth. She has written widely and immensely on Feminism, Women Empowerment and Women’s issues. She has many research papers published in various International Journals.
