About this ebook

Alice Collins knows that normal families don’t call themselves a dynasty, but for the House of Morgan, power is the only language spoken. Years ago, Alice buried her childhood crush on John Morgan alongside the memory of his sister, Victoria. But when she attends the funeral of the Morgan patriarch to save her family’s farm contract, the past doesn't just haunt her, it walks through the front door.

John Morgan, an FBI agent who traded his billionaire inheritance for a badge, is stunned when his "dead" sister reappears just as a sniper’s red laser settles on Alice’s forehead. Forced into protective custody at a secure Pinecrest estate, John is determined to shield Alice from a mysterious stalker who is targeting everyone he loves.

As the danger intensifies, Alice must navigate a world of billionaire secrets and a brother’s betrayal. In this forced proximity struggle for survival, she must choose: reclaim her independence or trust the man who has always held her heart, even if he is the son of the man she was taught to fear.

This book shows what family is about- mixed-up, confused, at cross-purposes, standing together, etc. John Morgan became FBI agent to spite his dictatorship father. Alice Collins is the working-class girl who has a secret crush on John. Threats against Alice, and John, have people trying to catch the perpetrator.

I feel like it's a bit over the top in your face emotional drama. It kinda made me cringe by the way she portray Alice's emotion. It's a bit rush & could be better if the author build the intensity level.

Secret Crush: Opposites Attract Alpha Hero Romance (The House of Morgan Book 1) by Victoria Pinder is a great story to read. This is book number one a great start to a brand new series and I can not wait to read book number two. I recommend this story to all.

About the author

USA Today Bestselling Author, Victoria Pinder grew up in Irish Catholic Boston before moving to the Miami sun. She’s worked in engineering, after passing many tests proving how easy Math came to her. Then hating her life at the age of twenty four, she decided to go to law school. Four years later, after passing the bar and practicing very little, she realized that she hates the practice of law. She refused to one day turn 50 and realize she had nothing but her career and hours at a desk. After realizing she needed change, she became a high school teacher. Teaching is rewarding, but writing is a passion.

During all this time, she always wrote stories to entertain herself or calm down. Her parents are practical minded people demanding a job, and Victoria spent too many years living other people’s dreams, but when she sat down to see what skill she had that matched what she enjoyed doing, writing became so obvious. The middle school year book when someone wrote in it that one day she’d be a writer made sense when she turned thirty.

She’s always been determined. She is amazing, adventurous and assured on a regular basis. Her website is  www.victoriapinder.com.
