Gwen is tired of her overprotective father sending bodyguards to shadow her every move which won’t work in Chance’s favor when he shows up to protect her from a threat. The reader can’t help but get caught up in the story as the chemistry between Gwen and Chance explodes off the pages into an intense consuming need but their relationship has a few issues left over from the past getting in their way, not to mention the secret Chance is keeping. The strong captivating characters grab the reader’s attention from the very beginning and ensure that the reader wants to know their whole story and the fast paced and smooth flowing plot keeps readers on the edge of their seat with lots of suspense, excitement and passion. The author keeps the reader’s guessing with lots of surprising twists and the well orchestrated suspense draws the readers in while the well written scenes and details capture the imagination. There is never a dull moment as Chance and his friends race to find out who the stalker is to keep Gwen safe and spine tingling anticipation builds throughout the story as what started off as a simple stalking (if you can call stalking simple) case becomes even more complicated.

Watch Me by Cynthia Eden Genres: Adult, Contemporary, Crime, Mystery, Romance, Suspense 3 Stars I wish I could give this one more. I am a big fan of Cynthia Eden's & love most of the books I've read of hers. But, this one was lacking in a few areas. My biggest problem was the repetition. I think if I read one more time "She/He wanted his/her hands on her/him. ......since the first ....." I was going to scream & pull my hair out. Was the mystery and criminal element well played? Yes, it was. BUT, and this is a big BUT! 🤪Chance was supposed to be a professional with years of training in the military and after on jobs. He came off 🤪🥜with a couple of screws loose. The times he should have been professional and used his head he used his fist instead. I lost a lot of respect for his character and the story itself. Now to something weird.... On Amazon & GR the page count is listed as 236 pages. That is WRONG. It is much shorter. The German edition says 169 pages & is most likely the correct page count. Other than the problems I had with it, it is still a pretty good story. It moves quickly and you find yourself at the end before you know it. The adult romance areas are nicely done. The romance itself is pretty good, but could have used a bit more maturity on both the MC's parts. It could have been a great read, but it was just above what I consider the 'Okay' mark. I have a feeling the next in the series will be better. That is due to what I found in this story that I did like and my past experience reading Ms. Eden's books. Crossing my fingers 🤞 adult, crime, mystery, romance, suspense, contemporary 3 notes & 3 highlights (All visible)

This book sucked, so much potential to be so much more but was just corny and cheesy and dumb. I 've read better.
