Lanie makes a promise to her mother and after her passing away she still wants to stick to it. She goes home to prepare the house to be sold and every time she sees a little cardinal, she thinks it is trying to send a message from her mother. Nate owns what was once his father’s business. He is not prepared to see Lanie again, but life is giving him a second chance. A nice story but emotional about losing a parent and trying to keep a promise. Well-written and enjoyable with a pinch of paranorma
