Acerca del autor

Alan Alexander Milne 1882 – 1956 was an English writer best known for his books about the teddy bear Winnie-the-Pooh and various children’s poetry. Milne was a writer of various kinds before the huge success of the Winnie-the-Pooh series which went on to overshadow all his previous work. Notably Milne bravely served in both World Wars. He was the father of Christopher Robin Milne, upon whom the Pooh character Christopher Robin is based. It was during a visit to London Zoo, where Christopher became enamored with a tame and amiable bear and this experience inspired Milne to write the story of Winnie-the-Pooh for his son. The original manuscripts of Winnie-the-Pooh ended up donated to a library. Winnie-the-Pooh is one of the most remarkably successful children’s book characters of all time.
