This is a satisfying conclusion to the Love Lottery series. This is Amelia and Teague's story and it's the classic best friend/little sister trope In this novel, Teague has a difficult past and a career in special forces that left him with nightmares. He thinks he's no good for Amelia, while Amelia's been secretly in love with him for years. I love the characters in this series and how they've grown and developed with each book. The author has an engaging way of telling a story. While I loved reading Amelia and Teague's story, at times it felt as though the book lagged - the push/pull seemed to go on for too long. For this reason, I'm giving this one four stars. If you enjoy the genre, you will want to put this one on your TBR list. While part of a series, this is a stand alone novel. The author is on my must read authors' list.

Christi Barth’s third book, Wrong for Him, in the Love Lottery series is definitely my favorite as far as couples go…Teague and Amelia were the most endearing and heartwarming of the three pairs. Perhaps it’s Teague’s back story, or Amelia’s unfailing belief in him that captivated my heart. All that went into the creation of Teague’s character, his miserable childhood, the effects of of his military service, created such a multidimensional character which took the story up several levels in my admiration of Ms Barth’s writing. Of course there were numerous instances of hilarity in the mentioning of the skill set he acquired while he served as a Special Forces sniper…”Teague managed to prove it was possible to toss red and green M&M’s into Alex’s mouth while standing at complete opposite ends of her (Amelia’s) apartment.” As I’ve come to expect from this author, the humor was laugh out loud worthy due to the witty banter and repartee between the characters…the whip smart dialogue could turn on a dime and head in a different direction…taking your imagination along for a clever and entertaining ride. There was the perfect combination of humor, tension, angst, and of course romance to keep me riveted from start to finish. The Civil War history that surrounds the Three Oaks Inn in the small town of Chestertown, Maryland adds another layer of interest to the story, as does the surprise that Teague and Amelia discover in the Inn. There were so many facets to the story and it’s characters that made it so easy to not want to put it down once I started reading it. This ARC book was complimentary, provided by the Publisher. This was a great 4 star read. It started out a little slow for me but picked up a few chapters in. Amelia is starting over after a cheating ex. After winning an old inn through a lottery she embarks on a new adventure with her brother and his best friend, Teague. The best friend that she has crushed on for years. And it gets even more interesting when she ends up living at the inn with Teague while they are remodeling. Of course old feelings start to come back to her and she wonders if he looks at her as more. I had some LOL moments with the things she would do to get his attention. Teague is trying to do the right thing and not show more for Amelia. She is his best friend's little sister. But she was the one person who helped him get through his deployment and it meant alot to him. Will he be able to keep things platonic or will he let things go too far? Overall this was a good read. I really enjoyed all of the characters, they added a great element to the story. This was a fun couple to read about. I look forward to reading more from this author and series. 1-click and get started today.
