The nature of a schizophrenic is complex and expressions sometimes seem illogical and strange. A person without this illness may have difficulty in understanding the way the mind of a schizophrenic switches form one emotion to the other without warning. These people believe that their paranoia will help them cope with people and the world however irrational their reasoning is. Those who refuse to take their medications frequently get recommitted to the hospital because of bad behavior. There is a belief that having your own personality is somehow not acceptable because you are considered a freak.
