Prophet Moses, Prophet Aaron, Prophet David, Prophet Solomon, Prophet Zekeriyya, Prophet Yahya and ProphetJesus -peace be upon him- are connected to Prophet Jacob by lineage. Because his father, Prophet Ishak, prayed for "the prophets and kings to come from his offspring".
Jacob (peace be upon him) was appointed as a prophet in the year that Prophet Joseph was born. He invited people to the creed of monotheism. Many people from the land of Canaan believed in him.
The intense feeling of Prophet Jacob towards Prophet Joseph is compassion. Compassion is found at the highest level in the prophets.
