About this ebook

In this groundbreaking and controversial book, behavioral neurologist Dr. Richard Saul draws on five decades of experience treating thousands of patients labeled with Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorder—one of the fastest growing and widely diagnosed conditions today—to argue that ADHD is actually a cluster of symptoms stemming from over 20 other conditions and disorders.

According to recent data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, an estimated 6.4 million children between the ages of four and seventeen have been diagnosed with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. While many skeptics believe that ADHD is a fabrication of drug companies and the medical establishment, the symptoms of attention-deficit and hyperactivity are all too real for millions of individuals who often cannot function without treatment. If ADHD does not exist, then what is causing these debilitating symptoms?

Over the course of half a century, physician Richard Saul has worked with thousands of patients demonstrating symptoms of ADHD. Based on his experience, he offers a shocking conclusion: ADHD is not a condition on its own, but rather a symptom complex caused by over twenty separate conditions—from poor eyesight and giftedness to bipolar disorder and depression—each requiring its own specific treatment. Drawing on in-depth scientific research and real-life stories from his numerous patients, ADHD Does not Exist synthesizes Dr. Saul's findings, and offers and clear advice for everyone seeking answers.

Its true what they say... apparently anyone can write a book & get it published.. I'm more than fine with being proven wrong in that I don't actually have ADHD & don't need the meds nor therapy management... & you magically heal me of this nonexistent mental disorder.. I'd pay huge money for a legit miracle of removing my imaginary disorder.. however if unable to properly diagnose & nor be able to find treatment methods... You'll have to right a book retracting & apologize for the nonsense.. Titled, "ADHD Does Not Exist & The Earth If Flat!" Once published.. never write anything ever again. oh & to answer your big question & wasted so much money on trying to solve.. as to why all of a sudden there's huge spike in that amounts of people diagnosed with ADHD.. Its a two part answer.. First is known to all by now.. Parents who can't what kids are actually like or college students who use it for homework & doctors with zero moral compass.. thankfully its now monitored & regulated to prevent that. Secondly & most importantly.. how numerous younger generations of people from all walks of Earth have been diagnosed with ADHD at a fast rising rate.. Its the result of the millions of women who received prenatal care.. at that point all used same & injected this women across the world with it.. Oh & the Earth isn't flat & we really did land on the moon!

Just a heads up. This book is published by HarpperCollins, which is owned by Rupert Murdoch, who also owns Fox "News". That should be your first clue as to the legitimacy of Saul's claims. Furthermore, Sauls is a virtual unknown in the field of neurology and does not have any history of publishing in the medical field. That is to say, he has no history of PEER-REVIEWED publishing. So he skipped straight to commercial publishing and espousing outdated information that has long been debunked as "fact". If you want to read this, do so only to learn how NOT to treat people with ADHD. This book is an abomination.

To people complaining that some are giving 1 star without reading the book or even the synopsis: this is what the author and publisher deserve for such a thoughtless, inflammatory title. It could even be called unkind given how often people with ADHD are told their disorder isn't real, with no greater meaning as in this book. That said, despite all the hard work of the author, he almost certainly comes to the wrong conclusions, and too much of the text is as inflammatory as the title.
