This is a sample of the first few chapters of Game of Shadows. The lead in the series is a student at UCLA, but, through her family's business, she's a trained assassin with numerous kills under her belt. However, this story is somewhat different. She has been sent to kill a man and knows nothing about him, except for his picture. For some reason, she's uneasy about the job and upon approaching the specified place where the mark will be, she is uneasy and is carefully scanning the area when she sees a limo approaching and then a gun sticks out of the window. She runs to the mark and lets him know about the gun. They go into the restaurant and the killers follow. They escape but she sprains her ankle and gets grazed by a bullet. They escape and she leaves alone. Several days later he shows up at her apartment and convinces her and her roommate to leave. The sample stops at this point and I can't wait to read the entire book and those that follow. Excellent 👍
