Written in the 60s and updated in the 70s shows all its limitations when applied to today's trading world. One of the author law is that you have to study thoroughly each company's situation so to predict its future development before buying their stocks, otherwise you're not an investor, you're gambler. Much easier sad than done. He doesn't explain how to conduct such a thorough investigation, and I wonder how a single investor can really study a company situation, it's so difficult for insiders, let alone us. Besides, many events like diesel gate or smartphone catching fire have conditioned company's stock but were nearly impossible to predict. Then the author says you should hold your shares for several years to be an intelligent investor, otherwise you're just an emotionally unstable speculator, therefore a loser.. Well, all in all a great book for the previous millennium, but for the current one there is much better in circulation. Anachronistic.

Great investment book ever. The book doesn't tell you the superficial tips & tricks on how to get rich or which stocks you should choose. It focused on building fundamental principles when it comes to investing. Really insightful. The only downside of the book is sometimes the language is too complex. It feels like the book wants to tell you too much things in one sentence.

Only credit raters should read this book. Even if you wish to make decent investment income, instead read: reminiscence of a stock operator, laughing at wall street, one up on wall street and how i made 2 million dollars in the stock market. All principals in this book is pretty much useless.

Benjamin Graham (1894–1976), the father of financial analysis and value investing, has been an inspiration for generations of the world’s most successful businesspeople. He was also the author of Security Analysis and The Interpretation of Financial Statements.
