Roberts does a fantastic job of transporting her readers back in time. Vividly picturesque descriptions bring the world to life in a manner that was exquisitely easy to envision. The plot itself was fun and playful while at the same time allowing readers to immerse themselves in the wonders of the Scottish past. Suspense and chemistry make their way into the story, creating a whole that will keep you coming back for more. What a pair of main characters! The contrast between Scottish warriors and English nobility was striking, and lead to a number of strikingly comical moments. Seeing the heroine struggle with the difference between her beliefs and her desires was priceless. The utter Alpha male/Scottish warrior persona of the hero was unforgettable. As a whole, this was an utterly enjoyable novel. I’d definitely recommend it to any who enjoy a good historical romance. Grace and Fagan were one of the most entertaining couples I've ever read. The witty sparring and interactions between the two, alone, makes the book fantastic. The magnificent supporting characters, thrilling surprises, and amazing storyline make this top notch book. Victoria Roberts is very good at building a very vivid image in the reader's mind, so it is very easy to become completely engrossed in this book. The bad guys in this book were so good too. I absolutely loved hating them. This book was everything I had hoped it would be, and then some. I've been waiting since I finished My Highland Spy to see more Grace and Fagan. It was definitely worth the wait. The chemistry between the two is very hot, and their butting heads always makes a few sparks. Do not miss the chance to read this amazing book! I received this book in exchange for an honest review.

I really loved the sparks in this story. Fagan is cocky, sexy and knows it!! Grace never had a chance.. Funny, passionate, exciting. Must read!!
