Dylan and Darla belong to two very different world. Darla is from the economically backward and socially disadvantaged side. She needs all the sass, fire and strength to get by. Dylan is the typical rich playboy to her. But the truth is, he has his own pain and issues too. Initially he thought about keeping his association to Darla a secret as his world can be cruel and judgmental but Darla has a sharp and bright presence that's hard to hide. Darla can get a bit defensive and impulsive and over reacting because of their different social status but Dylan did break her walls down. She actually is very soft and wounded and just wants someone to love her unconditionally. And Dylan needed someone to see him beyond his money and status. Their dynamics is very explosive. They go at each other hard. Be it the banter. Be it the sex. Be it the love. There is no middle ground for Dylan and Darla. The enemies to lovers tension was extra hot here. They can get very intense.

The war between Dylan and Darla is full of snappy snarls, sizzling sparks and scorching heat. Whew, these two are like, WOW!! I picked this up and was quickly sucked right into this captivating inferno of rage, hate, lust, angst and emotion that was quite frankly consuming and utterly intoxicating. I am volitionally posting a forthright review.
