Broom With a View is a cute, fun, quirky mystery with a little romance happening in the background that with likely developed throughout the series. This is the first thing I've read from Morgana Best, but I'll definitely be reading more. Goldie had only recently moved to town when a murder happens at the retirement community that is blamed on one of her friends. Goldie, a sea witch, along with her familiar wombat, is tasked with finding the real culprit. The story unfolds with this rag-tag group of friends trying to solve the murder. This is well written book with fun, eccentric characters and an intriguing story line. Overall, this is a great read that had me liking forward to the next book in the series. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

A heel to the stomach You may laugh or smile while reading this book. If you like mysteries that are on the ridiculous side Broom with a View might be the book for you. Goldie Bloom is the newest resident of East Bucklebury and she has inherited a house for my uncle she is not seen in awhile. Once she makes it to town thing start to happen.😚 Whimsical is not quite the right word for this book but when you get to meet the cast of characters of Oleander, Max, Anthanasius, Harriett and Goldie herself you just cant help wonder how this is going to turn out. Oh you can't forget Persnickle the ghost channeling wombat familiar. Think of this book as senior citizens GoneWild that's not quite the sentiment but more like gone Sherlock Holmes.

hilarious, witches, pets, murder-investigation, law-enforcement, Australia, situational-humor, verbal-humor***** Recently come to the small town in the Gold Coast due to an unexpected inheritance, Goldie learns that she is no ordinary witch and that her assigned roommate is a wombat. She found new friends in the short story included in the book mentioned in the publisher's blurb, and now those friends need her help to clear one of them of an unwarranted murder charge. She also meets two interesting men, has an interesting list of suspects, and talks with the murdered woman's ghost with the help of her "therapy wombat". Lots fun, suspense, and a really great read!
