More Love And Money reviews:

“An ideal book. Ruth Harris has done a miraculous job of entwining the lives of two women in a totally believable and fascinating way. Plausible and entertaining, Love And Money reads fast and the time frames ring true. Ruth Harris is a talented writer who has come up with a novel so entertaining and interesting you won’t have to hide if someone asks you what you’re reading.” —West Coast Review of Books

“Fast-paced, superior fiction with a zinging sense of style. A skillfully written, highly commercial “page-turner” Love And Money is also a series of carefully drawn character studies and insightful psychological portraits.

Love And Money focuses on three major characters. Deedee Dahlen is a million dollar heiress, ‘born late, as if she knew ahead of time how complicated her life was going to be and needed all the time she could get to prepare for coping with its difficulties.’

“Lana Bantry, Deedee’s illegitimate sister, was born ‘six weeks prematurely, as if she couldn’t wait to get out into the world and take charge.’

“Slash Steiner, a ‘man from nowhere who makes it big and becomes Deedee’s husband and Lana’s lover.

“Harris makes these characters and the joys and tragedies of their lives exciting and believable. With a narrative style that is crisply precise and descriptive, an unerring ear for dialogue and an overall tone that is strongly reminiscent of Susan Isaacs, Harris has written a terrifically satisfying ‘good read.’” —Fort Lauderdale News Sun-Sentinel

“Ruth Harris is in a class by herself!” —Literary Guild

“In this entertaining story, Harris portrays characters who try to assuage their emotional pain by amassing wealth. Harris will keep her fans engrossed as she accentuates the riskiness and unpredictability of lives obsessed with money, setting them against a backdrop of dizzying social change.” —Publisher’s Weekly

“Well-written, fast-paced and diverting.” —Library Journal

About the author

Ruth Harris is a New York Times and Amazon bestselling author and a Romantic Times award winner for “best contemporary.” Her emotional, entertaining novels have been praised by critics and sold millions of copies in hard cover, paperback, and ebook editions, and were prominent selections of leading book clubs including the Literary Guild and the Book Of The Month Club.

Ruth writes about strong, savvy, witty women who struggle to succeed and, when sometimes they don’t get what they want, they find something even better along the way. Critics have compared Ruth to Nora Ephron and Joan Didion and called her books "brilliant," “steamy,” "stylishly written," ”richly plotted,” “first-class entertainment” and “a sure thing.”

Readers' reviews include comments like: "I couldn't stop reading," "her plots seem so real I must keep telling myself it's fiction," "thought-provoking," "made me laugh and cry," "by far the best author I have come across in years," "suspenseful, hilarious and romantic," "wonderfully addictive," "you can't put her books down."

No surprise that Ruth is a writer. She grew up in a house filled with books, magazines and newspapers. Her Mom was an RN who had a trove of big-city hospital stories—some funny, some sad, some touching—and told them with great verve and style. Her Dad, noted for the beautiful gardens he created, loved words, word play and language, and he is remembered by those who knew him as "always reading."

As a girl, Ruth wanted to be a professional ice skater. In her teens, she wanted to be a lawyer—a summer job in a law office cured her of that delusion! :-) After college, she got a beginner's job in publishing and her career path—first as an editor and then as a writer—was set.

Ruth lives in New York City with her husband, Michael, author of two bestselling memoirs—
