About the author

Joseph "Champagne Joe" Militello holds an L.L.B. degree from the Blackstone School of Law, and resides in San Diego California. Author of "Winning With The Thoroughbreds" 1994, he is a former turf correspondent for the San Diego Sportspage news, and has presented numerous horserace handicapping seminars at various venues coast to coast, from the Del Mar off-track wagering facility in So. California to sites on Long Island N.Y. for the Suffolk County OTB, and has appeared as a guest racing expert on many radio programs including 'Ruben On Racing", and 'The Stardust Line' out of Las Vegas. In this story he has drawn upon his first hand experience as a Turf Correspondent for the Arizona, Orange County, Ca., and San Diego Sportspage newspapers, and his past employment as a private contractor arm Naval Oceans Systems Center (NOSC) at Point Loma, California, bringing to life the excitement of the Sport Of Kings, while also describing the solid investigative and preventive work of the nations security apparatuus.
