Owen is a good guy. He runs away to try to avoid Ruby and her matchmaking efforts. Kennedy comes to Mustang Mountain for a bit of camping. Owen runs right into her path. This is another hit for the men of Mustang Mountain. This is another solid story with good characters. It is fun to watch as another bachelor bites the dust. I love the way the towns people interact with Hades. He adds more heart to the stories. I got a little lost in the ARC where Kennedy was going to move to NYC. I truly don't remember that being stated in the story, just talk about her not going now and not having any desire to go. I enjoy this stories and can not wait for Nate. Kennedy is camping in the wilds by a beautiful lake to retrace her grandparents footsteps. Thinking she had the place to herself she is surprised to meet Owen. He is a big, buff, sweet mountain of a man. Owen has taken himself camping by the lake to get away from all the harvest festival shenanigans. Only to find his favourite spot already claimed. Not a bad thing after all when he gets a look at Kennedy. One look is all it takes to decide that she's his. Now he just has to persuade her before she heads back to civilisation. If you like strong mountain men who know what they want and confident, independent women then this is the story for you. Owen and Kennedy meet at a campsite. They start a friendship and when there is a rockslide he helps her get back to his cabin and takes care of her. They spend a few days together but when Kennedy is able to leave will Owen confess his feelings for her. Will she stay in town with him or return to her previous life.
